1. Waist:
Wrap the measuring tape around the narrowest part of your torso, just above the belly button. Don’t pull too tight.

2. Hips:
Measure the widest part of your hips, about 8 inches (20 cm) below the waist.

3. Total Length:
For skirts, dresses, or pants: measure from where the garment starts (waist or hips) to where you want it to end.

4. Rise:
Measure from the crotch up to the waistline in the frontβ€”helpful for pant adjustments.

5. Sleeve Length:
With your arm slightly bent, measure from the shoulder down to the wrist.

6. Shoulders:
Measure from shoulder tip to shoulder tip across the upper back.
